Are you looking for a facial rejuvenation treatment in South Barrington, IL?

Have all those years of relaxing in the sun left you with brown spots, broken blood vessels and damaged skin? Do you hate the sunspotsphotofacial and uneven skin tone and are looking for a way to improve the tone, texture and overall appearance of your skin? Then it’s time you talked to our South Barrington and Willowbrook, IL, dermatologists Dr. Jeffrey Berti and
Dr. Toula Romas Berti about an IPL Photofacial.

What is a photofacial?

This is non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses an advanced laser system, a Cutera laser system.  As part of a photofacial, an intense pulse light (IPL) is utilized, as well as, a non-ablative laser genesis portion.  Together, this procedure is used to stimulate the skin’s production of collagen, firming the skin, as well as, restricting broken blood vessels, which enhances the overall tone of one’s complexion.  Subsequently, the IPL decreases the unwanted brown pigment and sun damaged skin improves dramatically. These treatments, depending on the size of the treatment area, usually take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. IPL photofacial does not require any anesthesia. Plus, you can leave our office after treatment and immediately go back to your daily routine.  No broken skin or need for special post treatment creams and you can even wear make-up right away.

In most cases, patients will need at least 3 photofacial sessions to achieve noticeably vibrant skin.

Who should consider IPL photofacial treatment?

Those who are dealing with uneven skin tone, sun damage, age spots, broken blood vessels and other problems due to the sun may be great candidates for IPL photofacial treatment. IPL photofacial can also reduce the appearance of large pores and improve redness caused by rosacea. Since there is minimal recovery time associated with this procedure, this is a popular cosmetic treatment option in South Barrington and Willowbrook, IL.

This procedure is safe to do for most skin types, and also is safe to continue throughout the summer months, even on tanned skin.  Consultations are complementary, every person will be assessed by one of our physicians and an individualized treatment plan will be outlined.
