Jeffrey and Toula Romas Berti? Find out how Coolsculpting could help you!Coolsculpting

What is Coolsculpting?
This is the only non-surgical, FDA-approved cosmetic fat reduction procedure which allows patients to lose weight without an invasive procedure. CoolSculpting was developed by scientists at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, an affiliate of the Harvard Medical School. The procedure uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise.

How does Coolsculpting reduce fat?
During your procedure, your doctor in Willowbrook, IL will attach the tissue-cooling applicator to the area you want to treat to start cooling the fat tissue. This vacuum-like applicator will gently pull tissue and hold it between two cooling layers. The system has a precise monitoring system to ensure that the cooling is properly and evenly distributed throughout the targeted region. When you lose weight, your fat cells become smaller, but the number of fat cells remains the same. With CoolSculpting, the number of fat cells actually reduces. When these fat cells are gone, they are gone for good.

What should I expect from my results?
You may start to notice some changes to your body in as soon as three weeks after your treatment. Research has found that there is the most noticeable reduction in fat about two to four months after getting Coolsculpting.

How long will my results last?
One of the benefits of Coolsculpting is that results are permanent if you maintain a healthy life style following the procedure. Weight gain can occur if you lead a sedentary lifestyle combined with overeating after receiving Coolsculting. The fat cells left behind following the Coolscultping procedure can become larger if this is the case.

Is there a recovery period?
Since this procedure is completely non-invasive you will be able to return to your daily activities right after. You may notice some redness in the treated area, but this is usually minimal and should not last more than a few hours. You may also notice some swelling or bruising, which will go away in a couple weeks.

Who is a good candidate for Coolsculpting?
You should be healthy and relatively fit, but looking to reduce certain pockets of fat that are difficult to reduce through diet and exercise. However, this is not a procedure for those who are obese.
